Christmas Swap 2009...Sign Up.

Here it is at long last. Many thanks to MarmaladeKiss for helping with the button which was the main reason for the delay. Plus making the stocking that features on the button.

So that is a giveaway as to the theme for this year's swap which is!

Swap details are:

To make a Christmas stocking!! I used this pattern which I found on Ebay...

I am not suggesting that you buy a pattern, I am sure that there must be some free downloads on the internet. Many craft books have templates. or you may have a stocking that you could draw round. The unusual shape caught my eye with this pattern. You will also need to make some kind of card. Due to the credit crunch and postage costs I thought it might be best to not include anything else in the swap just the stocking and card, keep costs down and no one is under pressure to fill the stocking or feels that they have not been reciprocated. You will need to be willing to swap abroad, if you do not want to send abroad then let me know and I will try and match you with someone in your own country, but that will of course depend on who else signs up.

You have until Friday 9th October Noon (mid-day) to sign up so that I can put up the partner list at the weekend. I would be grateful if you could all contact each other as it will be quicker than me doing it as this is not a secret swap. So you will need a blog or website for this swap please. I then suggest that you look at each other's blog/website to find out what they might like. Any medium can be used and it needs to be able to hang up on a hook or door handle for example.

I will try and post some inspiration over the coming week and the deadline for in the post will be Saturday 14 th November at the latest so that they reach your swap partner in time. We need to consider that the postal problems may still be going on in the UK.

I would like to add to the Flickr group that was started with the Christmas swap in 2008 so if you need an invite let me know. If you are not a member of Flickr then you can email me a picture of your stocking and I will upload it for you.

I think that will do for now, any questions or if you think I have left anything out let me know in the comments section.

Please take the above button (it was a struggle to get it to work) and put on your own blog to add a bit of festive incentive.

So start signing up now!!
I shall be back this week with some inspiration. So get your thinking caps, or boots, on.
ADDED ON SATURDAY 10TH OCTOBER:
It has been mentioned about adding other itmes in the swap parcel. I will leave up to partners to decided, I do not want to be a party pooper but I did not want anyone to feel under pressure to add ot their swap parcel. the stocking and card are the main items.
